What You Focus On You Get More Of

Scientific Research has shown that just one hour of focussed concentration on any concept or idea literally doubles the number of neurological connections in the brain associated with that concept or idea.⁣

If we also consider that the average person has between sixty to seventy thousand thoughts a day but that ninety to ninety-five percent of those thoughts were the same as the day before and the day before that, we can begin to see why so many people, who focus on fear, worry, loss, lack of this and that, etc., end up materialising that which they focus on the most.⁣

It also explains why some people find it hard to change, simply because of the repetition of the same thoughts over and over again, which help build physical connections in their brains that are literally hard-wiring their thinking into physical networks that continue to grow and dominate their focus of attention which eventually becomes a behaviour that over time becomes a habit and a personality trait.⁣

In short, their past becomes their predictable future because they cannot control their thoughts or focus of attention. Their thoughts help bring into their existence the very things they think about, good or bad.⁣

If you don’t control it then you will become a victim of it.⁣

The good news is that you have the power to choose what to think about and what to focus your attention on. You have the freedom of choice, which is called free will. ⁣

Use it wisely.⁣
