Last week reminded me why we are so passionate about our work at NFPS Ltd. Every day, we strengthen standards in conflict resolution training and physical intervention, especially for professionals in schools, healthcare, and care settings.
I spent part of the week preparing for a court case where I will act as an Expert Witness on the Use of Force.
This work involves reviewing evidence and offering expert advice.
It reinforces the importance of our BTEC Level 3 Physical Intervention Trainer Award Course and Handcuff Trainer Course.

Midweek, I met a Scottish MP to discuss rising violence in schools.
It was a constructive and encouraging conversation.
We agreed that safety, wellbeing, and dignity must become part of both policy and everyday practice.
We also explored trauma-informed approaches and early intervention.

Together with colleagues, I worked on expanding the Why Not You? STEM project.
This inspiring initiative helps students—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—explore careers in science, tech, engineering, and maths. It encourages them to believe in their own potential.
It has been a week full of action and purpose.
