NFPS Ltd And The Priory Will Shortly Be Parting Company (By Mutual Agreement)

It is with regret that as from the end of this year we [NFPS Ltd] will no longer be delivering PMVA Training to the Priory.

This decision has come about due to the fact that we do not wish to become accredited under the new PI accreditation scheme that is being introduced next year.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly because we are committed to those we train to ensure that what we provide is not only fit for purpose but as legally defensible as it can be so that we can properly protect and support our clients, their service users, their trainers and staff in every possible way.

We have loved working with the Priory. The Priory has been instrumental in adopting a very progressive and positive approach to restraint reduction and best practice without compromising the effectiveness of the PMVA system that we have developed in partnership with the Priory, its PMVA trainers, management and staff.

It has really been a privilege working with you all, some of whom we have come to know very well and who we will miss dearly.

However, having done our due diligence by undertaking a lot of research into the new PI accreditation scheme, I believe our decision not to be involved with it is the right decision, which is consistent with those values and beliefs that are integral to not only what we do, but more importantly, why we do it.

I would therefore like to thank the Priory for allowing us to work with you for so many years, and I’d also like to thank all of those trainers and other members of staff that my team and I have had the privilege of working with.

I would like to stress that the Priory does understand and respect our decision and I will be around for a while as I have promised to help the Priory with their transition to whichever new training provider they will choose to use to try and make this transition as painless as possible for everyone involved.
